Digital citizenship is the continuous development of the skills on appropriate, responsible, and empowered use of technology. These skills include helping people to:
Stay safe, build resilience, and discern fact from fiction.
Build healthy, respectful relationships and find greater wellbeing.
Everyone has a part to play in creating safe and positive online communities.
The I Am Digital learning resources have been developed by Save the Children and Meta, in consultation with young people in the Pacific Islands. They include fact sheets, quick tips and videos in English and nine locally spoken Pacific Island languages, across topics including digital citizenship, sharing mindfully, online safety and security, media literacy, scam awareness and respectful communication. There are also specifically tailored resources for parents and educators, as well as women and girls, and people living with disability.
